Frank M. Smith & Associates Realtors serve on local charitable boards. We are dedicated to our community through fundraising efforts to provide backpacks, winter clothing, and Christmas gifts for local kids. A collection station for various communities needs is located in our lobby. We contribute annually to multiple local school organization and sports teams.
Meet Our Team
We are a professional, well-organized team of real estate professionals who want to share our knowledge by assisting the homebuyer and seller with their end goals. Many of our Realtors and employees have been a part of our team for more than 20 years — some 30! Our mentoring program for young and new agents ensures our marketplace for the next generation while staying current in the latest technology trends.
We continually have representation on the Board of Directors for The White Mountain Association of Realtors, include three past Presidents. Many of our agents have invested in further education by obtaining their Broker’s licenses and CRB, CRS and GRI designations.
Alison Stewart, Designated Broker
Alison was born in Charleston, South Carolina and spent most of her youth on the Georgia/S.C coast. Alison moved to the White Mountains her senior year of high school and has made the Mountains her home for over 40 years. An avid gardener, she and her husband purchased the historic Pico’s Nursery in Lakeside where they live, tend their vast vegetable and flower gardens, and host summer weddings and events. Alison has two adult children, along with a 12-year-old stepdaughter.
She was gifted the title of “Grandma Boonie” in 2017 with the birth of her first grandson. Alison loves all things outdoors, and especially enjoys hiking and snow skiing. She served as a Director and held the Treasurer’s position for the White Mountain Association of Realtors. Alison has spent her entire 30-year real estate career at Frank M. Smith & Associates and is as dedicated and loyal to her clients and her family as she is her employer.
Corina DuCharme, Associate Broker
Corina DuCharme is a hard-working Associate Broker serving the entire White Mountains. Corina has been living in Pinetop for the last 30 years and has two grown children and four beautiful grandchildren. Corina enjoys living in the mountains and being around nature; you will often find her on one of the area’s many hiking and biking trails. Corina loves playing tennis and has recently taken up golf. Corina has been a real estate professional in Pinetop for the last 22 years, all at Frank M. Smith & Associates Realty. She has served on many local boards, including the White Mountain Association of Realtors and the White Mountain Hospice Foundation.
In 2006, she was voted Realtor of the Year by the membership of the White Mountain Association of Realtors. Not only is Corina knowledgeable and experienced, but she is abundantly passionate about the White Mountains of Arizona. Corina’s excellence and determination will help you find the perfect second home or year-round residence.
Tricia Jones, Associate Broker
Tricia Jones is a hard-working and passionate real estate broker. She attended Foothill Junior College, and then finished her degree at San Jose State College. In 2004, she decided to earn her real estate sales license through the Arizona School of Real Estate & Business. After working as a real estate agent for eight years, she received her broker’s license from the White Mountain School of Real Estate. Tricia has two wonderful grown daughters that live in Colorado. When they get together, they go mountain biking, cooking, and hiking.
She is very involved in her community. She is on the Board of the White Mountain Hospice Foundation and supports a number of local charities including the White Mountain Safe House, Humane Society, Love Kitchen, and T.R.A.C.K.S. (the Pinetop-Lakeside trail system for hiking, cycling, and cross country skiing). Tricia believes that it is very important to give back to the community. She has worked in real estate since 2005, always working in the Pinetop area. Tricia is a hard-working, dedicated, and passionate real estate agent. She puts the best interest of her clients first, and she always pays attention to details. Her determination and experience will help you find the home of your dreams.
Kathleen Behrends, Realtor
Kathleen Behrends was born and raised in Tucson. She moved to the White Mountains in 1978. She attended schools in Tucson and college at Dominican College in San Rafael, CA. She has three grown children, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. In the past, she has served every position on the White Mountain Association of Realtors including Director, Treasurer, Vice President, President Elect, and President. Kathleen has been serving on the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Show Low for the last five years and has been appointed for another four-year term.
She has also served as the Region 3 Vice President for the Arizona Association of Realtors and has served on the Professional Standards Committee for the State. Kathleen received her real estate license in 1987, and began working with Frank M. Smith & Associates in 1992. In 1995, Kathleen was named “Realtor of the Year” and in 2003 she received the Distinguished Service Award from the White Mountain Association of Realtors. She believes in treating everyone honestly, truthfully, and respectfully.

Shelby Hall, Realtor
Shelby Hall was born and raised in the White Mountains and she plans to live here for the rest of her life. She has a deep passion for this area and she cherishes its beauty every day. Shelby attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff but always yearned for her true home. Her husband, Tyler, is a Wildland Firefighter with the US Forest Service and they recently welcomed their first child, Jackson, to the family. They have a beautiful black lab named Titan, their fourth-generation lab from the same bloodline. In her free time, Shelby enjoys hunting, fishing and hiking with her family.
Shelby has been a licensed Realtor since 2015 and even though she is relatively new to the field, she’s been familiar to the business since childhood. With her mom as the designated broker at Frank M. Smith & Associates, Shelby has an ever-present and encouraging mentor. Shelby is currently representing the Pinetop-Lakeside area on the Board of Directors for the White Mountain Association of Realtors, and will be serving until 2020.
Her favorite thing about her job is seeing the happy faces of those who feel the same way about Pinetop that she does. Shelby has a lot of local knowledge, and she knows of all the different neighborhoods in this area. Shelby’s professionalism, efficiency, and energy are what make her one of the best real estate agents that Pinetop has to offer.
Dean Nelson, Realtor
Dean Nelson grew up in La Crescenta, California, where he attended Crescenta Valley High School and Glendale College. Eventually, he discovered Pinetop, AZ, and fell in love with the White Mountains. Dean has had his real estate license in Arizona since 1995 and he began working at Frank M. Smith & Associates Realty in 2001. Dean donates his time to the local Little Leagues for softball and baseball. He has also volunteered for the softball travel leagues, as well as club wrestling teams for the local school.
He has two grown children who were raised in Pinetop and still live here along with three grandchildren. He has a spoiled pet named Rocky, and he loves being outdoors. He also enjoys playing golf and working out. Dean is the type of real estate agent that keeps himself available for his clients, which is very important in the real estate community. Dean’s hard work and dedication will ensure that you receive the best real estate experience.
Lisa O’Connell, Realtor
Energetic enthusiasm and a “get it done” attitude best describe Lisa, a realtor at Frank M. Smith & Associates Realty since 2012. Lisa works hard for her clients and keeps them in the loop every step of the buying or selling process. Lisa left the Chicago area to attend college in Arizona, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arizona. After many years in the field of social work, she changed paths and earned her real estate license.
Prior to arriving in Pinetop, Lisa and her family resided in the Tucson area. She and her husband, Kevin, own and operate O’Connell Construction, Inc., focusing on spec homes in the White Mountains. They have two grown sons and recently became grandparents and are loving this new experience!
Steve Adams, Realtor
Steve has been involved in marketing and publishing his entire career, first as a Newsroom
Cartoonist/Artist, magazine Art Director, Direct Mail marketer and for the last eight years Owner and
Publisher of SWA Design LLC and The Real Estate Book. Steve has extensive experience working with
clients and is proud to be a Real Estate Salesperson at Frank M Smith & Associates. Steve has been
married to Judy for almost 40 years, have three wonderful children (Chris, Mike and Mollie) and two
amazing grandchildren (Cara and Charlie). Steve loves the White Mountains and the fantastic people he
meets on a daily basis. When not helping his Buyers and Sellers, Steve loves to mountain bike, hike,
camp, play volleyball and enjoy a series or two on Netflix.
Lindsay Peters, Realtor
Lindsay has been an Arizona native all her life. Born and raised in Flagstaff she has always felt at home in the mountains. After marrying her husband Brighton in 2014 and moving to the Lakeside area she has developed a love for the White Mountains. Lindsay is enthusiastic about what she does and knew she wanted to spend her career at Frank M Smith and Associates. It is important that she offer her customers the best service and experience possible. Lindsay believes in honesty and kindness and sees every day as a gift as she strives to live life to the fullest. She likes to spend her time with her family, outdoors and ranching cattle. Lindsay and her husband spend a lot of time in the surrounding areas with their horses and two Queensland Heelers, Deets and Shania. She feels that she has been greatly blessed to be able to call this beautiful place home and loves every opportunity to assist others as they make Pinetop-Lakeside their home too!
Jim Rathbun, HOA/Project Manager – Realtor
Jim Rathbun grew up in upstate New York and spent 14 years with the United States Air Force. After he retired from the Air Force he began his adventure into the world of business. He spent many years with Pactiv Corporation, the business responsible for Hefty products. He and his wife of 25 years, Terri, enjoy cruising the oceans and traveling throughout Europe. They just recently went on their 34th cruise! They also enjoy nature at its finest and outdoor camping.
Jim and Terri have three grown children and two spoiled cats. Jim has worked for Frank M. Smith & Associates for over five years managing homeowners associations. In 2011, the company had four HOA’s which has since grown to 14. Jim is a one-of-a-kind HOA manager who enjoys being organized, solving problems and getting things done in a timely manner. Mark Sweeney, HOA Management – Realtor
Mark Sweeney is a young guy who enjoys playing video games on his computer, disc golf at the local courses, and throwing barbecues with his friends. Mark is part of the Homeowner Association Management team with Frank M. Smith & Associates. He’s friendly, original, and always willing to help. Mark went to Blue Ridge High School and then attended NAU after graduation.
He and his wife Ginger have one child, a wonderful rescue dog named Luna who is spoiled and very much loved. Mark’s hard-working and talented nature makes him one of the best people you can find in Pinetop. He has been working for Frank M. Smith & Associates Realty for three years. His punctuality and reliability are things that make him such a trustworthy representative.
Rachel Carver, Administrative Manager
The office “Mom,” Rachel Carver, is relatively new to the real estate arena, having begun her administrative manager position at Frank M. Smith & Associates Realty in 2016. She previously worked as an elementary school teacher with a focus on Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. She loved getting her students in touch with their creative sides through art and music. After her teaching days, Rachel worked six seasons at Pico’s Nursery and Landscaping in Lakeside as the garden center manager. Her lifelong interest in flowers and gardens made the position a good fit. While there she enjoyed learning all about the various trees and shrubs that grow well in this area and then passing this knowledge on to customers.
Rachel has volunteered at The Love Kitchen (a local food bank) where she washed her fair share of dishes, organized donations, and occasionally cooked. She continues to participate in a number of local charitable events in and out of the work setting. In her spare time, Rachel can be found in her art studio where she makes all her own greeting cards, experiments in mixed media, and creates collages and watercolors. Rachel and her husband of almost 40 years have four grown children whomthey visit regularly for hiking, picnicking, and board games.
Konnor Smith, Property Management Manager
Konnor was born in Tucson and only a year later moved to Pinetop and has made it his home since. He grew up playing soccer and played for Blue Ridge High School. In his senior year he was awarded 1st team all-state. Konnor took his soccer career to college and played for two years until deciding to return to Pinetop and work for Frank M. Smith & Associates in the Property Management department.
Konnor loves to play video games on the computer he built; his computer prowess has dubbed him as h the office “tech support”. If he isn’t playing video games you can usually find him working out at the gym or playing board games with friends and family. Konnor started working for Frank M. Smith & Associates in the vacation rental department in 2014 as an assistant to the Property Manager. Beginning in 2017 he was promoted to Property Manager and enjoys working with both owners and the guest.
